Coachella Day 1 - Sunburnt and sore

Saturday, April 18, 2009

OH MY GOD! Yesterday was absolutely amazing! I wish my camera phone took better pictures for all of you. When I get back home, I'll update these with pictures from my actual camera, video too. Anyway,

Paul McCartney was incredible. He told everyone that this was a real emotional show/date for him because April 17th is the 11th anniversary of Linda McCartneys passing. If that doesn't tug on your heart strings, I don't know what will. He played solo stuff, Wings stuff (including "Let Me Roll It", which is my favorite song) and of course, Beatles stuff. Lemme tell you, that man can still rock with the best of them! PS: He played for over 2 hours. Again, better pictures and videos coming soon.

Morrissey was...fun. He kinda threw a fit on stage. Apparently he's hardcore against meat and animal cruelty because I one point he said, "All I can smell up here is flesh burning and I hope its human.". Then at another point he was having mic trouble so he actually walked off stage for a song and then came back to finish.

Franz Ferdinand was awesome! I've seen these guys at Coachella before, but this year they had alittle more pep in their step. They played a great set and really kept the crowd going.

I also saw: Silversun Pickups, The Black Keys, We Are Scientists and Noah and the Whale. Did I mention how much I love this festival? No? Well then, I FREAKIN LOVE COACHELLA!!
